Have been working on the project car today, found some grey foam sponge between the two rads. Does it matter if it doesn't go back between them? The stuff is decaying so would rather not play about with it if I don't need to.

should not be there unless it is just around the perimeter, but I have never seen any as original fitment so can only assume it was added to stop vibration movement, Rick
 
Yeah it is around the edge of the air con condenser. That's fine then, pull the stuff out and leave it out then.

Yeah I still have some in place but the bottom bit droops a tad, beaten by mud ect :lol

I think it acts as a muck guard stopping sludge getting up between the two :nenau
