Splines on IFS shafts

I'd be more inclined to use the ka24, more revs and tuning options, better suited for a buggy ... ?

Was thinking about that but the tuning options are very expensive. Also not sure if I can make the electronics more basic.

Megaflow is cheap option, and you just need an exhaust manifold making up for a turbo, then pipe work.

Did u see that ka24 tuning forum I linked ?
 
I did but got overwhelmed. Basicly understood I'd have to spend £500+ to get more power.
 
Sounds about right. But I reckon that would be about 250 +bhp, if you lowered comp with a sandwich plate and 2 head gaskets

Curious to know why i'd need lower comp? this is all a bit new to me.

How electronic are the 2.4 petrol engines?
 
thinking about the 2.7 td with propane injection, nice and basic but may be on the heavy side.

Weight not sure, maybe 1.3-1.5t?

Ah different thing then, do not think welded shafts will cope, in fact definitely not, back to the drawing board, Rick
 
I think I will be sticking with the standard shafts, Don't want to get into crazy costs with custom shafts.

Don't want the project costing me too much.

Lower comp means you can run more boost like say over 20psi with a larger turbo, you'll need bigger injectors tho and higher fuel pressure but its all on that forum, the injectors are readily available off an rx7 or sommit

The engines are pretty simple mate, but mega flow is a DIY standalone Managment to control fueling and boost, and electronic ignition if u want
