Has anyone changed their full size steel spare for A alloy & now doesnt know what to do with it , would like to buy if price is reasonable (ie dirt cheap ;))want to put A set together to try to shake its softroader image A bit :lol

As an update does anyone know are stud placement /offsets for terrano's ok for use on xtrail ?

there 5 stud already had this prob but the spare on xtrails is A full size wheel so as xtrail owners will probably buy A alloy for when they get A flat hoped there may be one or two lying around un used anymore:thumbs you can but hope , Am also hoping I can get some 235/70 R16 104Q into the space my 215/65 16s occupy:D

well T2's are 6 stud, so the wheels won't fit, but mine has 235 70 16 tyres, so if you get in touch with a member local to you - you could always try a spare wheel to see if it will ft in the space you have :thumb2

Sounds good idea if I can sort these wheels & get tyres sorted may try & see if an xtrail can take getting dirty :sly

Theres an oldish wheel chart somewhere that lists dimensions for a number of vehicles but its not comprehensive. The important dimensions (apart from the obvious ones like number of bolt holes and rim size) are the PCD (which is the circle of the bolt spacing), the wheel offset (which determines whether, for example, the wheel will clear the brake calipers) and the bore (the hole in the middle). You need to know what the XTrail is and make sure you get wheels of a similar size, bolt configuration and offset.

I'll see if I can find the link....

EDIT 1. This link doesn't list the Terrano (which is different obviously) but shows the XTrail as being PCD = 5x114.3, Bore = 66.1 and Offset = 37 to 45. Don't know how current that is for your vehicle?

EDIT 2. This link shows what the numbers mean.

EDIT 3 - what you do see from looking at the charts though is that the Nissan Almera, Qashqai and Primera all use the same wheel config. The facelift Terrano actually raided the Primera parts bin for quite a few bits so no surprise there - but if you can confirm your current wheel size fits the parameters above then raid the scrapper for some Primera wheels and you're sorted.

Sounds A good start:thumb2 thanks for that hope to get A set of steels soon then save the pennies for the wellies for them have been looking at some nice bf,s mud tyres, was talking with my boss today who used to run A quite extreme defender & he suggested I just buy an old t2 to trailer to where I want to go , he couldnt understand why I wanted to use xtrail:nenau but he laughs at it any way

ah just give it a go.

The only thing I'd be concerned about is that big dustbin of a backbox hanging out the back end....looks awfully exposed....but providing you take care a lot of green lanes will be well within your reach.

I know think they just had too much space to fill & gives them another hugely expensive part to charge for ,wish had some time off for this upcoming run could do with A break :(
