Spare part????

Ok this fell of the truk, it`s an internal part , no broken bolts/screws
or anything.
My question is
What is it?

Well it's broken, the spigot has broken off the casting.
So you need to get a new one.


Are you sure it's off your car?

Could it be part of an engine mount or gearbox mount?:nenau

It's just a dampner from the steering wheel, Not sure how it got out of it though. Not needed

Yes had the same on my Mk 2 it was jamming the horn on, had to remove plastic side cover from steering wheel to remove it, it was rubber mounted and the rubbers rotted, Rick

Nice one Fez and you Solarrman, it`s amazing how well some folk know these trucks.
This part appeard shortly after a small square cover appeared in my lap whilst driving, then after a rather rough bit of track a fair bit heavier lump (as in photo ) also fell into my lap, it was getting a little worrying.
Also nice to know my random horn sounding will probably stop now

yep the flap is from the steering wheel, Thats how it fell out.

Same happened to me with regards to horn, It would go off randomly with some funny results. Took me a week or so before I looked for the problem.

Should of asked about your horn, could of fixed it soon as you asked.
