spare key

Can anybody advice me where I can get a spare key from for my T2.
I have been quoted £185+vat from the main dealer, I think that is to
expensive.

That's due to the transponder re coding on all your key's, this has to be done on all your key's. I'm not sure if that is just main dealer work or if Auto Electricians also ahve the equipment these days so it might be worth looking around locally.
I have seen the key head being snapped off and glued to the inside of the column trims and then simply having standard keys cut, key blanks are standard "Nissan X" blanks. Not very secure but it did work.

When my key stoped working i got a replacment from my local lock smith
for under a £10, he just looked at the colour of the chip in the fob matched it then cut the key.
