I have a 2008 Xtrail 2.0DCI Sport and it is factory fitted with a steel 16" spare wheel fitted with a temporary tyre which according to the handbook I should not use when towing my caravan (I have already had to on the A1M).
I am therefore looking for an alternative like a used standard 17" alloy wheel as fitted to the other 4 wheels or a steel 17" wheel that will fit and take the same tyre as all other four wheels.
My nissan dealer wants £650 inc vat for one standard alloy so you can see why I am looking for another way round the problem. We tow abroad but I can't risk towing abroad without a proper spare.

but theres loads of 16s for a lot less money, so why not get one of those as a spare with the right size tyre on it:augie
