So noticed yesterday morn. Didn't realise the weather would be so bad, water is getting in from my aerial, dripping from the map light bit.. Now I'm nt qualified to remove headlining ect but if I can find some shelter can I try n mask it somehow? :nenau

Any suggestions greatly welcome as we have a storm going down!!

Cling film for now? Or if you can dry the area off for long enough to wrap it all in gaffer tape.

Well, I know a huge long underground car park where it can dry, gaffa might be the way :thumb2

Shame you are so far away you'd of been welcome to stick the motor under my carport and do the job properly. Best of luck with the temp fix tho.

I had to get the headlining out of my T2 last month for a sunroof leak that i fixed with a bit of chunky rubber floor matt.Its dead easy to do m8 and took me 40min to remove the thing and that was the first time i done one.Cant you get some sealant for now for a temp fix around the aerial for now till the weather lets up :nenau

I reckon the problem with any sealant is getting it to stick when wet.

I guess if its parked up and not moving a simple bin bag or something over the top of the vehicle.

the head lining is not a dreadful job to do
You may be able to just drop down the area that the aerial is in.

I am assuming that the aerial is either at the front or rear centre.

If so drop it down.

The rear is easy as there is plenty of room.
The front is ok as you could drop it down and use the hole of the sunroof in the headlining (if you have one ) if not there is enough movement in the headlining not to do any damage.

I'm actually just about to do it, my model is different from what I thought. Remove lights on ceiling and nut is immediately accessible :thumb2

The nut is on show, I will slap some sealant on it and tighten up :thumb2

Was funny when I took out my lights, I got a bit wet :lol

we have a product here called , Selleys All Clear, its a bathroom/wet area sealant and is impervious to liquid (displaces the liquid and sticks to whatever is under neath)

I've used the stuff but it's called stix all made by a company called ever build.

Once the map lights are dropped down i'm sure you can see the bolt for the aerial:thumb2 a bit of old bike inner tube cut to shape would prob work as a new gasket:thumb2
