All the parts that where rotted on barney (the maverick ) there all fine on scrambler (the terrano) inc 3rd row of seat area, sills etc. They have roughly same millage but have reciepts for water pump and services etc.

To swap from barney,

Towbar, recovery lights, tinted rear lights and swap alloys as I prefer to have mud tyres on over std ones. Terrano has leather and sunroof just needs a clean and the front end raising as I really dont like the low front looks

Lol thats tring to copy from my tablet, this should work now

How many splines did you rotate it?

Quite a few, it was far to low on the front. Let me guess its far to high now lol

I tried to to so slightly less than the back to compensate for towing ?

It isn't an option to lower it, it is more an option to compensate for sag.

Over time the torsion bars take on a permanant twist, and thus get lower, by adjusting them, it puts it back to how it should be.

PS don't forget to adjust your headlights.

best regards,

Rustic

Brill, thanks pal

I think my Mav is a bit low looking at the front, what is the height that it should be to the bottom of the wheel arch?

No mate it looks spot on now :D :thumb2

Did you use a bottle jack to push it back in far enough to get the bolt bvack in, or did it just go in OK?

I just followed a post on here, basically jacked up the front on axle stands so both front wheels were off the ground. Found the splines and undone the top (locking) nut and literally with a rachet spanner adjusted. You can see the bar moving up. Then lowered to see how it looked ( i did do this twice as as still a bit low the first time ) then just tightened up and redone the lock nut.
