sometimes actions cannot be measured by normal methods , and this one of the clubs certainly falls into that category , likewise sometimes gratitude cannot be expressed adequately as a result of such actions , and i feel as though i cant express my gratitude enough for such a action, and indeed thats exactly what it is , i now have the freedom to go where i want , i now have a vehicle i can put my wheelchair in and go for a drive , instead of sat at home annoying you lot and waiting for sheila to come home so i can borrow the disco .its a great feeling knowing that there are some people out there that treat people like i like to treat people ( with respect , friendship and dignity ) , yes i may be disabled but that doesnt mean i have no pride and respect ,, this act has been truely humbling and made me realise that i have friends in the true sense of the word .

before my first heart attack i was very fit , i used to train daily at shorai karate and was a brown belt ,so it was a huge shock to me to suddenly have a major heart attack , and later on a stroke , since then ive had many heart attacks , angina attacks ,4 strokes, and many t.ia.s , it has made me realise just what is important in life , and one of those is friendship .

many many sincere thanks

pete

thanks briggie brings a tear to my eye..

as a club we may well be scatared all over the world, ( see menbers map )

but as friends we are all together, to help each other however and when ever we can.

its certainly an eye opener Pete, even for me. I thought the idea Paul put to us was awesome, and it really brought so many members together. Its been a pleasure helping you out Pete in whatever small way I have, in some ways, fixing the car has become a small part of all this!

I'm very glad the project was completed though, the generosity shown by so many members has been amazing, there were people I have never seen on the site, but they came on, posted lovely comments and contributed, totally awesome!

Its heart warming to read that you can still get about Pete, and do the stuff you need to do. Youre obviously a very strong individual, someone who we can all learn from in a very positive way, but personally, i'm looking forward to seeing how good your tea is, because you were making out you made a great cuppa, well, i want proof!

right, time for work, so enjoy the day, go for a drive, and take some pics of the new revitalised pride and joy!

i make better coffee than tea :lol:lol

ah friendship is what we are all here for, sharing our love of some of the
most underated trucks on the planet.

personally have never made so many friends as have here in last six years
and shared tears and laughter, camped out, had bbqs, been fed and watered.

saved a fortune on repairs, from hints and tips to free labour from mucking
in together, had super days out laning thanks to others selfless time spent
making routes, bought items at cost, and sold them on the same when not
needed. was sent gifts for my daughters birth and offered life experience from
folks have never actually met in the flesh yet feel like have known and
valued for much longer.

this Club is so much bigger than the sum of its members, it really does seem
to the bring the best out of everyone, Proud to be a part of it.

It's exactly the same as the "real" word but a micro version of it. All the things that make up our planet but with most (not all,as that would be pure perfection) of the bad stuff left out. Great to see a happy outcome to Pete's misfortune and in a perfect world,we would all learn from it and apply the same generosity of spirit to everyone we come into contact with in our lives. Let's hope we all do,for a little while at least. Anyway,we still need to see pics of Pete and his truck a.s.a.p. or else Zippy will have a fit.:clap:clap:clap:clap
