Just spotted this pic on lost world adventures.

It's a new anti hijack device, as seen on "Dragons Den", it works two ways...
If you start the car without driving off, the cable melts on the hot exhaust and shorts out the battery lead, and then destroying the battery, making it impossible to drive away.

However, if the thief drives off straight away, then the exhaust won't melt it quick enough, so the battery cable is wrapped around the prop shaft, whether he selects forward or reverse, this then shorts the cable out ...as above.

He didn't win though...:doh
