Looks m my poor terry's got a leak......

After many cans of Jizer and a jet wash, it seems shes wet from the bottom up (hurr hurr :naughty). Now, many years in the motor trade tells me that oil leaks can't go up, right?

Well, this is soaking with engine oil from the PAS pump all the way down. And we know theres no WAY the pump can be leaking engine oil. Its without a doubt engine oil, as she seems to be using an excessive amount of it.

My theory is thus;

Its the front crank oil seal thats leaking, spraying it accross the O/S of the engine (as the engine rotates clockwise, looking from the front) and then the fan is then blowing this spray back the length of the block.

Anyone here done one? have any hints/tips?

Managed to find a seal on flea-bay, thanks the the http://nissan4u.com site

Have you had the belt on too tight. This can cause this to leak.I believe its a sod to get out. Best of luck with it. David

Ive got a leak on my 05 plate and clivvy had exact same. These are the same on ours, the injector leak off pipes. Theyre dribbling fuel down the side of the engine which picks up crap and discolours and looks just like engine oil. My drive is a mess with this but its going in px soon so leaving mine well alone.

With. Pinch of bravery it's very easily solved, took Rick all of 5 mins to change the pipes :thumb2

I wish it were so simple - leak off pipes are dry, and she is using engine oil at an alarming rate

Huh... Tricky one... I'm not sure where any common areas for oil leak are...

Chaps?! :nenau

Sounds like the bearing at the front end of crank. As said,sod of a job.
