we are off caravning in a field in Shropshire with no power or water but lots of mud and a 4x4, I might also see if i can bag a couple of rabbits or even one of the pheasants that seem to keep wondering into my path. I have a bottle of whisky packed and pleanty of gas for the heating so let it snow if it wants to I dont care.

Should be an interesting night, I'm a little rusty on the maps compared to what I used to be like, only done 3 events in the past couple of years, where I used to do up to 30 a year plus small club ones. Alisons not done anything for a couple of years now, though we used to win a good proportion of the club ones we entered together, but we've not done one of this status together for something like 10+ years. Still nothing to prove just out for the fun of it.

nothing too interesting.got to take my old tv and stand to my mother in laws,move my wall mount for the hi fi as my aquarium doesnt quite fit where i wanted it to and fit a new release bearing on the terrano. :lol:

Unfortunately i am working but the next town is turning on it's xmas lights on Saturday night with a big fireworks display.
Hope the weather is not to cold for you Plank.

with a (reputably ex pro-drive chase car) alloy sump guard, other than that its pretty stock.

Well i'm putting that last of my xmas lights up on the front of the house :smile: Then try & fix my fuel leak if what i've done has'nt fixed it :roll: Then a big clean out of the parrots cage & flight, clean out the rabbit hutch & poss strip down of my small 5ft fish tank :lol: as i'm not happy with the way it's looking & last but not least a bit prep work before I do some plastering & glossing :roll:

HB are the tyres the same for all the cars competing? in the rally scene who has now taken over from colway as tyre suppliers?


I had a bonus today, our dvd recorder broke a week or two ago I phoned the custoner advise line they gave me a code and told me to return it, I only got around to taking it today (ASDA) and gusess what? they were having a sale plus a vat free day, they gave me a new dvd recorder and £60 change! result!

hence the whisky for the caravan trip tomorrow :wink: :lol:

No all different on this event some will be on similar to ours some on normal road runner others...... etc

Maxsport have probably picked up a bit more business as they do remoulds too and theres a few others doinf rally remoulds but I suppose the business as just spread around a bit. Theres more payers in the rally market over the last 10 or so years than here used to be , Silverstone and Khumo are new tyres but cheaper than Dunlop, Pirrelli and Michelin/BFG.

I have to carry on with the stone work at the front of the house so close to completing the task 6 month of hard work when weather permits then Im out for an hour In the afternoon rabbit pie looks good for sunday,Pastry ,brussels new potatoes with oatmeal, beetroot and jelly ,and maybe some sticky toffee pudding If we are able .A sleep in front of the fire may be nearer the mark

Lucy's gone off to London for a girlie weekend whatever one of those is.

I had some 33's fitted to the Patrol earlier this week which are rubbing the inside of the front mud flaps on full lock so some modding needs to be done on those tomorrow :?

Got a ton and a half of logs coming on Sunday which will need handballing into the log shed.... so it looks like I'm not in the running on excitement front either :lol:

SO WHAT YOU UP TO THIS WEEKEND

Well my weekends work has started already just done two hours in garage working on my Disco (changing cam belt front cover due to viscous fan bearing shot) ive stripped it down now ready to install new panel £142 .
Saturday working till 12 then finnish the Disco.Its the first time in garage, got it in with just over 1" clearance after removing up and over door. well worth the effort.
UPDATE Disco sorted.
Sunday last day of our trout fishing season so going to have a go ,or if it rains /snows there is a fishing tackle sale on at Newark show ground this weekend.
