Went in a large bomb hole last week and soaked the air filter . Luckily just couughs and sputters for the day . Running ok now but down on power as k&n must be full of mud. Lanes and sites are getting wetter and wetter so time to fit snorkel before I kill it for ever ;-)

Dropping into water filled bomb holes at a steep angle is the problem, where your front is fully submerged

Thats the problem. Have got some flexible alloy pipe not sure of size prob 2 1/2 inch. Its used for caravan heating where it runs under the floor so fully weather proof

Won't that be a bit flimsy, the stuff on my caravan would crush easily and so would reduce air flow Brian

Was going to use under bonnet and behind wing but the run it inside solid pipe up the a piller. That way theres no joins.
