Hopefully tomorrow, Then I will paint the brackets and pipe next week. :lol

Then also look into breathers.

Front diff, Back diff, What else needs breathers?

Gearbox, transfer box I think :thumbs
If you're painting Alu don't forget to "Etch" prime it first

Pretty much done, Couldn't run the wires for the antennas and lights as the flexible conduit I had was too small. Hopefully it doesn't leak at the brackets, Was leaking last night without them but can't remember if I shut the door properly.

I added a extra bracket on the top for strength and I will be painting it all black this week.

Parts list is really basic.

63mm internal diameter hose (1.5m long)
63mm outside diameter Aluminium tube
63mm PVC 45degree elbow
63mm PVC pipe (only need less than 10cm, Could use a small piece of the other alu tubing instead)

Snorkel top

Then fixing all depends on your preference. But I used riv nuts for the most part. Only where the top bracket attached to the 45degree PVC elbow I used self tappers.

Looking good Fez, but have you tried it without the top 45 degree elbow ?
I think it would loook better with the southdown top level not pointing down, if you see what I mean :thumbs
Is your plan to run the breathers up there too :D

Thing is without the 45degree angle it faces to the sky. I'd rather it face down so the rain doesn't get in it when parked up..

The angle of it is for a landrover,

I will probably run the breathers into the engine bay, I don't think I will be running them right to the top of the snorkel.

if it faces backwards , its a lot less likely to get rain in while your driving innit ?:nenau

Driving is not the problem, It's more that when it's sitting there not being driven.

Ok then try a 22.5 degree elbow ;)
The breathers are at bulkhead level anyway :thumbs

"Can you see the hovering car? "
Say, what ? :p You been on the source ? :lol

are the breathers at bulkhead level as standard then? I have noticed the one from my front diff is up at the top of the engine but don't know about the others :nenau

Looking good mate & a job well done :clap :thumbs :bow
Start on the Dirty Devil this Saturday :sly :naughty :D
See if I can beat your price :augie & neatness :lol

Running the other way ( backwards ) is no problem but obviously it has to rely on the turbo sucking the air in rather the air naturally going into & been sucked in :thumbs

great job and excellant pics thru the different stages:thumbs:bow

would leave the top facing forward as i have heard thats when u get problems if u turn it backwards as u dont get the air force and causes probs with air to fuel mix and starts to run rough the only way around that would be to place a resivour chanber in line to store some air

but still great job this is what the site should be about aswell as great trips out:clap:thumbs
