I'll try to be brief:lol

Project roofrack is awaiting transport north for fitting:thumb2

Project springs is complete:thumb2

Awaiting some rotten wings for Project wheels, 37"'s need a bit of wing trimming and mine are too good to chop:thumb2

Currently on with Project get it through an MOT, it ran out in may:eek:

So i am setting about Project Snorkel:clap

Sort of brief, but here comes the good bit:naughty

My last troll had my BnQ budget drainpipe snorkel and it did the job.

As my current Troll is in much better nik I think some thing a bit sexier is in order, and as I refuse to pay full price for anything I thought I would try to get the bits on the cheap:nenau

I am looking at two of the silicone turbo hoses, a 90 from the enginebay through and along the wing and a 45 from there up the 'A' post. These come in sexy red to match the Troll at about £15 each.

The bits inbetween are planned to be 77.6mm dia 1.5mm wall polished Stainless Steel. I can aquire this at £16.50 per metre the only problem being it comes in a 6M length so I will have a Bit Spare.

So if any of you chaps and chapesses want to go down the same route I can do the Tube to you at cost and cut to lengths to suit.

The clever bit is the connection to the airbox inside the wing. I will get this drawn up and have some plates Lasered and short section of tube fitted so every thing can be jubilee clipped together.

I will also have some stainless steel tabs welded to the tube to allow fxing to the truck.

I guess probably £60 for the kit plus your choice of snorkel top

not too cheap but will not crack and it will look the bollox.

I need to order the tube soon so any takers to use up the first length let me know.:thumb2

I was thinking something more aesthetic and along the lines of the prevoius Trollop. but shiny Stainless and red flexies:thumb2

on my last one that would have done the job too. Horses fo courses n all that.

I want drainpipe snorkel, always said they look better than the tacky plastic :naughty

Thats how I did my T2, only I used black, and aluminium tube.

One site on Ebay, does a 30 degree Silicon bend, which was a far better match for the T2 windscreen angle, and may be good for the Troll as well.

I also used a 45 degree aluminium tube to level the top off.

When I fitted my Navara on to my Maverick, I used the original Samco hose from a Focus RS Turbo as it's an exact fit :thumbs

I think I'll go and see what my friendly fabricator has in his off cuts pile:thumb2
he can send that to the powder coaters with the next batch of stuff. it will be painted in whatever is going through that day and doesn't cost.
I may go up to to 88.9mm tube for a bit better flow:rolleyes:

please don't use guttering, it looks shit & is brittle !

"Guttering!":jesterbg

Sorry I need to pay more attention. I thought you meant Drain pipe:nenau

I agree a piece of Gutter would truly be Shite as a snorkel:rolleyes::naughty

Ebay has come up trumps again:thumb2

Cheaper than the two Silicone hoses I was going to use:augie
