If you go into the end of the filter box you will also have to change from a standard filter to a cone type One.
If you go in from the side you can keep the standard filter.
When I side I mean the same side as the original inlet.
Look at what others have done mate.
I know rick is doing the work but understanding what is being done and why can help you with future repairs/maintenance etc.

Ah true, I could save a few bob by keeping the same intake :thumb2

As it happens cant actually find 1m x 70mm flexi hose, it's all 500mm x70mm.

Flexi will do the job for a u bend right?

Can't keep same intake.
Did you not look at how I did mine?
If need pics I will repost tomoz night

Cheers chaps this has helped somewhat, lad I missed your funny comment last night terrano bob :thumbs

The black rubber part you have Elty does that run along the wing and turn in through the "cut hole" so I imagine yon have your rs pipe after and the flexi before.

As I am not using the rs pipe I am wondering if the flexi will be too constricted doing a 180 degree turn or if I should get another piece perhaps? :nenau

the flexi is just standard stuff mate, cost me a tenner.
the black rubber connects to the skorkel body and like you said runs between the inner and outer wing into the engine bay.

And a flange for the airbox you must have used too? :nenau

Will 500mm of flexi be enough :nenau

Yeah 500mm will be plenty. I got the tube to make the flange from work, just a couple of 3"diameter off cuts :thumb2

Right okie dokie, just so I know what I'm looking for. Ta my dear :kissy

Ive now ordered a 500mm flexi pipe at 70mm internal diameter.

and a ally flange at 70mm internal with a 15mm lip round the edge to sit inside the airbox front :thumb2

hopefully that will be it.

My list consists of
snorkel kit
flexi pipe
jubilee clips
flange

I am going in from the front of the vehicle into airbox so standard filter should be ok.

Anything else? :nenau

looks like you have got it covered mate:thumb2

Just a thought Elty, you do realise I am running flexi from the front of the airbox all the way to the snork, 500mm will be ok?

(im not using rubber hose in the wing) - unless the kit comes with it :nenau
