Anyone got a snorkel going?

I ask as I need one sooner rather than later. I cant offroad at the mo :lol

Mate not meaning to harp on about it but what happened to getting the winch fitted and getting the bondage bar legal? :nenau

Have you even got a winch tray organised?? Surely making the bumper actually road legal should be the priority rather than fitting a snork so you can go offroading :doh

Yarp!! Ive got a Sunday booked with rick :thumb2

Just alarmed by how open the air intake is. Ok in dry road conditions.

For the time being Alex just pull off the plastic tubing going to the air box from the wing which will stop stones & mud getting sucked up from the wheel arch & ending up in the air box & you'll still be able to ford as longs as you don't go through deep water & it'll cost you nothing:lol then you can get the winch sorted out whilst saving up for a snorkel:thumbs

I probably sound like Rustic now but I'd just like to rub in the fact that I swapped a chainsaw I was given for free for my D22 Navara Snorkel :p

Ouch. How generous are you feeling :naughty :lol

what size tyres you got on that thing to have to strip out the inner gaurds?

I got 32's and they don't rub anywhere.....

My navara kit was 80 quid delivered from direct 4x4 in derby:thumbs

ive seen the navara ones on ebay, but they say they are not a direct fit, can anyone advise on this? (sorry to hijack thread, but im also looking for a snorkel)

I did a bit of a write up with pics when I fitted mine.
Have to make a bracket for the A pillar as the one in the kit isn't big enough and you need a bit of flexi pipe to connect snorkel to air box.
There is a way to do it using a samco hose so no air box modding is needed but not 100% sure what you need for that one but it is posted in the mods section on forum:thumbs

Wish I was so lucky, we cut the sills and hammered in the arches and they still rub. The rear wheels have also been rubbing on the chassis and above on the arches!!!

You may find your Terry will fail the MOT as the wheels are rubbing on the bodywork Alex

sounds like all your bushes and bump stops are flogged out and the axis of the hubs/axle are out of alignment with where they are supposed to be.

I'm running a -22ml rim offset

Maybe so, is there an easy way to check?

This is only on atriculation it seems. Shame i sprayed it again otherwise i would have taken a picture.

And infact I should mention It is the inners of the tyres rubbing, not the tops! the extra nobbles on the mud tyres facing inwards, if it were an all terrain it would clear it no probs. I think I need wheel spacers. :thumb2

Body lift will sort it out mate:thumb2
If you fit spacers the fronts will rub even more on the back of the front arch.

Can you do spacers for the rear only? :nenau

As I said body lift will stop them hitting on full articulation.
Mine used to rub on the inner arch until I lifted the body.
Still get a bit of slight scrub on the front but I have to be on full lock on really rough ground.

Cheers Elty. The only problem is the mud treads on the inside are rubbing right above the chassis legs, not actually vertically up.. It's a flimsy metal. I hammered it in as best possible :nenau

my 31s used to rub when turning and hitting bumps etc, Even had a body lift. No trimming though.
