There's very little room behind the wing near the bulkhead esp for 3" pipe. So you'll either have to sacrifice the inner wing strengthning bulges or go out like stinky has :thumbs

You've answered your own question
In theory you could flaten the pipe as the cross sectional area will remain the same BUT that then causes extra turbulance and looks really odd as it goes through the wing I reckon .

If you look for a D22 snorkel you can get them to fit. Thats what i fitted to mine.

Looks better than a home made bodge job.....as that what is sounds like your aiming for.

Mum and dad went into Tesco so I wandered into wickes and purchased some pipe and fittings. It's 2inch PVC pipe. Dad said he can errm 'borrow' flexible vacuum hose from where he works. :sly:augie

It looks the same with as kamsin's snorkel, any thicker would look stupid. It's the same with itS the intake pipe on the terrano

It's not a case of "LOOKS" it's a need to breath :doh
My hoover hose is 2" and that struggles to pick up cat fluff :lol
