Get real that kind of kit will cost 20 or 30 times the bit you want to repair, total rubbish unless you are talking of a sheared stud in a £20,000 missile launcher frame that incidentally gets used once only, and is jetisoned on missile launch, Rick
 
Good tips in the thread though.....I have to say that the OP clearly didn't WD40 his bolt and if it was badly rusted he should have just drilled and tapped the hole, rather than use what clearly wasn't a decent Eazyout kit LOL. In fact I bet he used one that was probably too small for the job..... the stud/bolt should be drilled as close the thread as possible and utilise the biggest EZO you can.

And if the bolt is rusted, soak it in WD40 for a while, or just drill and tap.

Thought it was a good read with some good ideas .
Its nice to ponder these problems before they arise.
ive done the welding trick a few times but i use a thick washer instead of trying to weld through a nut ,then weld nut to washer.
