Hi guys.

My rear left brake started smoking yesterday whilst driving and the handbrake lever feels very loose as if theirs nothing there.

What could be causing my brake to stick on.

Thanks in advance.

It can be the brake lining has become detached from the shoe, and jammed.
I have read about this a couple of times on this forum.

Happens when you drive a car with hot brakes through cold water apparently!

is the problem front or back?

Just take em part and have a look, not much in there, so should be simple to identify

I had this once, turned out to be the washer the hand brake spring seats against had cocked and jammed the HB cable in the drum thought it might be a bad cable but looked on the others I have and all the same, why it got jammed cannot say, no problem since, Rick
