Well, I have now sprinkled bi carb everywhere, and sprayed some of that odour neutralising spray all over including the roof lining....

i tried to do the "shake and vac", but its a bit cramped in there, and the neighbours were watching.

...i'm not that daft! I keep the evidence well hidden, in the closet!:naughty

got it. plan is to grab some bi-carb and basically cover the rear seats/carpets. leave that for a few days. at the same time, charcoal will be in place. I am also going to get hold of soem enzyme product as you suggest, I read that this is required to eat away the bacteria, thus killing the smell completely. not sure what form to buy this in, theres the odor bomb types, or chemical that you simply wash in and leave....

if needs be, i'll rent a rug doctor, if nothing else, itll give my other half something to laugh about.

We went on holiday and returned to find the electric had been off for a couple of weeks.Opened the fridge and the smell was terrible. Anyway the following worked for us.Washed all down with bicarb/vinegar solution.Cut a number of lemons in half and left them in the fridge along with small contaners of vanilla essence. After a few days and changes of lemon the smell was gone and we could use the fridge.Have used the lemon trick in cars a couple of times with good results.Worth a try.:nenau

well, that sa great idea. the smell in the car is almost gone now, BUT I think i might shove some lemon in there anyway...thanks for that, great idea!

I know this is forum necro going on here - I found this while searching for boot liners of all things - mine reeked of decaying dog (well it smelt pretty bad anyway!) from when I got it, and the other day I tried a Odour Bomb by Dakota from ebay - less than £10 all in. Truck smells like a new car now - nasty niffs all gone and almost zero effort.

When I had a pub if someone up chucked on the carpet we would pour a can of Coke over it to get rid of the smell. Worked well.

We got though a lot of Coke :O)
