Sloppy Box

Steering box seems a bit sloppy
I can turn the steering wheel about a third of a turn before any resistance felt!
Is there any way of adjusting said slop or is it a new box job:augie

adjuster screw on the top , think you loosen the nut adjust the screw and tighten the nut, simples. there isnt much adjustment, but a little is a lot

Have you done the obvious & checked ya power steering fluid :thumbs

Checked fluid and it's ok:thumbs
The adjuster you mention Colin is for the arm play I think, ie the up and down slop, I think:augie

have you looked at the steering rod from steering wheel to the box. there is a joint half way along that could well be worn... i remember bluebull's one snapped at some point

Its just below the fuel pump isnt it . . . . .

Keeping an eye on all my steering joints as i've got very slight play now but cant locate it
Not bad for 2 years of abuse :augie
Just have to wait till it gets worse i guess
