I would try it again to see if you can stall the engine with handbrake on & in 5th gear (give it some good revs) when the clutch is cold & then again after everything has warmed up, my old MK1 fiesta's clutch was great when cold but after 5 miles it would slip like a pig:doh took the clutch out & it was clear it was shot
