Here is a short vid of a decent from the sand pit, it is a bit shaky (you tube may fix it) as I was holding it with my right hand, best I could, http://youtu.be/2yS0MQwqu4Y

This pic was a little earlier, whoops, Rick

looks like fun rick , did you manage to get a co driver ?

That looked pretty steep mate :)

And YouTube did wonders for the shake !

So even a Locka did not stop you getting stuck down there...:lol

Amazing how muddy it still is there, after all this fine weather we have been having, I thought it would be a dust bowl this week.

How about the lokka mate ? Anymore comments, how does it drive ?

No went on my own, and it was fairly quiet on site as well, and what's more many left early, but still a good day, but hard work on your own, Rick

It was, do not know if I could come up that, and yes pleased with the shake cure, I was bouncing all over the place trying to steer one handed, no thats not right I was hanging on to the wheel it just followed the ruts, Rick

yep still muddy but lots of areas are dry, that hole was just a little deep, when I was winching I was hanging on to the drivers door as it was close to rolling, the weight with the reinforcing helped, as the rear end slid into the hole it was a little tense and I was about to jump of if it went too far, Rick

Lokka works perfect, came down that slope in 4 wheel 1st gear low box feet off pedals, engine held it all the way no problem, but what I really like is select 2 wheel and it is straight away with no shunting at all, Rick

can I get away with 33s without the hassle of a body lift, like angle grinder and saw to the wings, but do not want to make it look too stupid, but I suppose the way I am bashing the body about, maybe I should be thinking allong the lines of not much body at all, mmmm food for thought, Rick

31"s are pretty good mate with longer shocks and dislocation cones

I was going where Landys on 285s were, I think the Terrano is so much better for not having that front diff in the way like a live axle does, and with the 2" lift it really is surprising :)

Have you done any suspension lift at all ? If so then yes 33s can be made to fit with some local surgery :D
That said , for more tyre you'll need more power too :augie
Consider

have only jacked up the front so far, do you think I will need more power even though I am in permanent low box? seems ample power at the moment, Rick

could kick myself now gave away an old Thwaits (spelling) 2 ton 4 wd dumper couple of years ago, could have grafted those wheels onto the Mav, but maybe too much for the drive line, OH well I can dream, Rick

i had 33x12.50x15 general grabbers on my mav and had no where near enough power even in low box :-( ive now got 285's with the pump and boost turned up slightly and it has plenty of power! i think i only went half a turn on the pump as well.

i only had a inch body lift with 33's and trimmed the arches and sill.

Thank's for that, my mav is a TDi though, Rick
