Hi all, I have noticed a small amount of oil underneath the truck about 3 or 4 drips a week. Having looked around the there is oil under the intercooler so I guess it's that finding its way down. Is this likely to be a leak from a pipe or something more expensive. Any help much appreciated

Probably a leak in the intercooler... you will need to pop it off and have a look under it.

It may just be the silicon pipes leading to the intercooler as the clips Nissan put on are not too good and can allow them to leak round the joins, one of the first jobs on mine was to change them for proper jubilee clips.

I reckon Mr Ferret has nailed this one, usually the pipes connecting to the intercooler, do you have any oil around the pipes and clips?

Will have a better look tomorrow when home from work but oil was on left of engine looking from the front just below the pipe and clips, definetly not jubilee clips. It's a 2004 2.7 done 78000 if that makes any difference, thanks for your replies.

Check around oil filter housing too, mine leaked from the union where the turbo pipe bolted on.

He's not coming near my Mav... "Nailed it!" no wonder it leaks lol...:doh

:lol

Dipstick o ring or dipstick not pushed all the way down.

Also a good shout and often overlooked I bet :nenau

I know from experience on this one.
Mine would develop a small leak over time and it was a perished o ring on the dipstick.
Got one from local compressor place for pennies :thumb2

Cheers for the suggestions hope to have a good look at the weekend, will post my findings, thanks
