Skid Bars / Rock Sliders

Anybody fabricated some before?

Thinking about fabricating a set In the near Future, if there is enough interested i could possibly make a few sets for members

Also looking at making some tubular bumpers with integral skid plates, winch points, mounts for lights etc etc

Do a search on here, there are several threads on this subject but unfortunately due to photobucket starting to charge for hosting and linking by url most photos have been messed up. Makeitfit did a cracking job, send him a pm see if he'll email photos to you.

Best I've seen fabricated by a member are Elty001's on his LWB

They look the nuts!!!!

I'd say look at his pictures but all his Photobucket links are broken (long story)

I did search, but having the 3rd party hosting issues come up

I went for a play up the mountains the other evening, went down a rather sketchy section near the quarry and as you can imagine there were boulders everywhere, nearly, and i mean very nearly put a slice in the sill and door :lol:lol

Id be interested in a bumper if you manage to get a good design made up.

No worries guys, when ive finished my garage extension in a week or two ill be back at fabricating, ill knock up some designs, get some feedback and start melting steel :thumbs

Ive already got a few idea's in terms of front and rear bumpers, kinda like the tubular design over boxy looking winch bumpers and it will save weight, but ill have to check out legalities for road use :nenau
