OOOH, so wrong, so so wrong.:whip::whip:

dissing the side steps, i must go and weep.

I LOVE side steps. not only do they give you a platform to rock your self free when out alone, but they protect the sills from damage if correctly fitted.

yay for side steps/rock sliders:clap:clap:clap

now vid that followed the one above is a terrano II i think, nice work lady.

A bit of topic but that's where we go.:thumb2
You see them concrete pipes in the back ground, well I got the front of the Terrano up on them.
Just me ride height stopped me.
When I put some 31's on I'll give it another bash.

Rock sliders are fine bud, big difference between standard sidesteps (which are gay) and rock sliders (which are awesome).

Sidesteps may give the impression of offering protection but from personal experience can't take impacts and are more likely to damage your sill in an impact. I still had my sidesteps on during my first Wales trip but a rock impact actually bent the step up into the sill and the sill has a dent in it now. I've heard of others having even worse damage caused:nenau

I would never consider my (manly) side steps as protection to the sill area, they are for stepping on to assist entry and exit :)
