GO. get rid of it. Never looked back since blanking off the EGR on my Stilo.

that's a point, will blank the one on my Hyundai too
 
They seem to cause a few problems, i think there is a workshop download on this subject,didn't happen years ago,all the crankcase and rocker cover emissions s**t went onto the road no problem and not circulated back into air cleaner etc.

EGR valve keep it till it fails

OK if it was me I would keep it until it goes wrong then blank it off.
Manufacturers do not go to the expense of such an item without good reason.
Think they aid smooth running on warm up - probably more fuel efficient in this part of the cycle.

If it aint broke don't mess with it you could do a 96Terrano !!
