Just bought me a set of 15" MK2 Shogun alloys with nearly new BFG mud terrains only to find I need the wheel nuts to suit them as the standard Terrano one's used with the steel rims are not suitable. Does anyone know if Shogun alloy wheel nuts will fit the Terrano as there are plenty of them on e-bay?

I don't think they will mate, Terrano's have a different thread pitch I believe 1.25 as opposed to 1.5, but if you check on ebay at the locking wheel nuts for sale for both vehicles the thread pitches may be mentioned in the listing and that would tell you :thumbs

Found him. ttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ALLOY-WHEEL-NUTS-SUBARU-NISSAN-SUZUKI-/260733366550?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Wheels_tyres_Trim_Nuts_ET&hash=item3cb4eb7116
I sent him an e-mail to see if he has anything to suit. Cheers:thumb2

Thanks, seen these already but they are the same as what I have. Its the flat seated ones I need as in the other add I posted.

well you don't want standard terrano alloy nuts then.......I'm assuming the Shogun stud holes are accurately machined then because the whole point of the domed nut is to locate the wheel accurately about the centre? If the Sotgun wheels need flat-faced nuts you may find a problem with them being slightly off-centre when tightened up.....

Seen this guy today. He only had 14 so he ordered them in for tomorrow for me. He's seen this problem all the time. The new nuts are identicle to the oridginal Shogun nuts but with a thread pitch of 1.25 to suit the Terrano:thumbs

i bought exactly the same wheels as you with some all terrains on for my maverick :thumbs

i take it the ones in the link are the right ones? cos i need some aswell

thanks

will

Think I've found me a set. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ALLOY-WHEEL-N...Wheels_tyres_Trim_Nuts_ET&hash=item45f13d58e9
Will be in that area on Monday so I'll call in with them to check they will suit ok.:clap
Just got them today. Hav'nt had time to fit the wheels yet but tried the nuts on the spare wheel carrier and the tread is right. Side by side they are identical to the Shogun nuts, the only difference is the thread pitch. So yes, they are the proper nuts and the link above is correct. The guy is based in Sittingbourne in Kent, if he has none in stock he will get them for you next day.
