how long should shockers / springs last in normal everyday use .... ie not off road ?

the reason i ask is i had new shockers / springs fitted all round a few months ago ( from milners )

Springs well over 100k usually

shocks 60k ish, depends in the history/life of the car

I've seen cars over 100k still on original shocks

But If I bought a car over 60k I'd want to put new shocks on it as they do lose there performance even if they aren't leaking and fooked

ok , approx 3 /4 months after having new shocks all round , new coil springs , and new bump stops , it feels like a very soft rear end of the truck , the front end feels very light which indicates to me that the rear suspension is faulty ( maybe im wrong )

all shocks / coils etc purchased from milners

incidently , tyre pressures are 2.4 bar all round .... ive tried raising the rear tyre pressures to 40 psi , but it makes no difference

Is it on mot cert as an advisory note, if not it'll prob be OK. David.

no advisories on mot ........

in the end i took my truck back to the garage that fitted the springs / shockers ....... they said a rubber bush had gone , it made the car move from side to side

Sounds scary, but if they fixed it you'll be ok now for the next twelve months. New mot , good feeling!!!
Unless like me you have a load of advisories to fix. David.
