A neighbour of mine is selling a 2000 2.7 lwb terrano with 120 k on clock as a mot failure with rust so I was thinking of buying it and breaking for parts. What you think do parts for these sell well ? How much is the engine and gearbox worth ?? Any bits that sell well common faults ?? Thanks

If you can get it around the £300-£400 mark you're laughing :clap
Anymore than that and its just a lot of effort for not a lot of money

if you got the time and patience , sold mine for £600 with 180k now trying to sell lots of spare parts! there selling very slow :)

I have a good one in the back garden could not sell it for £400 whole with no mot so keeping it for my spares

What is actually wrong with it and the general condition?

Is it worth fixing up yourself?

Went into over run and damaged engine.

Ive got engine here that maybe ok for what you need. Its 2001 tdi when i bought the car was told it missfires under load and was now non runner as not started for 6 months.I put battery on it and it started instantly but when driving does have missfire and some white smoke.(eml is on) I dont have time to look but it maybe something really simple

£200 collected?

Now that must be worth a try...
If it doesn't work out, you can still scrap it, then you also have a spare engine to sell.

It depends on how much you want to keep the old girl.

I like to see these trucks on the road, rather than in the breakers yard:thumb2
I hate to see younger cars than my own being broken, but then again, most of them are younger than mine...:lol:lol

But we do need a few, as we all need parts at some time.:augie
