Can anyone help please. Had my x-trail 04 plate. serviced @ Harrotts Sheffield it was a m2 service. Fuel filter included £311. Track rod end offside shocker total £710. Is there a 4x4 service around the Sheffield area? I thought it was a wee bit expensive.

Just ask round some mates for someone trustworthy, and worth your money
I do most of mine myself, but owt I feel unsure of I give a mate a ring, no receipt, but any problems and he's just a call away:thumb2
But, sometimes a small job, eg new driveshaft on wife's mk3 golf, gets punted back, and back, and back



And 3 days later, we get car back, but he's a good bloke.

Surely one of your mates must know someone for foreigners?

Had fullservice on 03 di xtrail + TRACK ROD END , BOUGHT T/R end £12 oil + filters £40 garage fitted + checked front caliper torq ( I replaced front disc's & pads) £120 charge from garage with vat invoice

that is £200 more than I paid for my T2 and been running it now for 2 years, apart from service costs (oil/filters etc) I have only spent £150 on mot repairs, Rick

2 words,,,ripped off,,,,,,,,,, the repairs they did are easy to do as diy or even ask a m8 to do them for a coffee and some banter, failing that get a decent mech with knowledge that will do it for £40 or so and be happy the job was done right, now days we dont have machanics we have fitters and its them you're paying not a fully knowledgeable mechananic

However the preceding posts are not want you wanted to hear, sorry about that, instead we should be giving you a great welcome to a great site, and now you have a motor that is road worthy, so welcome to the club, any problems in future air them on here first, you could well save a lot of money, Rick

How far are you from Worksop? I know a good garage there Would be a lot cheaper, mine £144 for full last winter. David.

indeed , welcome to the forum ,ask here first , will save you a lot of money on repairs , obviously thats assuming you can do things like that and are not disabled like myself
