My T reg SWB needs a little service, ahd one in June when I bought it but not sure what they done. My mate said he'll do one for £30 if I get parts.
Few questions-

1) Milner do air/fuel/oil filter- all for £10?-anyone know if these are any good?

2) I want some really good oil, whats the best make to buy and how much will I need?

3) Anything I need to get my mate to check while he's got it?

cheers for help

TBH Mundy save your self £30 & do it your self m8 as it's not hard on a T2:thumb2 I would replace all the filters to be one the safe side:augie

Ok I understand, then £30 is a good price:augiebut if you can watch the lad doing the service for you then next time around you may be able to do it your self:naughty

Yea was gonna watch and learn lol. When ever I work on cars I can't believe how tight and difficult things are to get too,

Have always done the services on my motors over the years, at least i did till ihad a problem doing a fuel filter on a diesel Rover. couldnt get the air out of it an no cost. TBH put me off aliitle (well alot)! aint had the courage to try doing the T2 yet. are they easy or not?

hi wayne, very easy to do, all i do is remove old filter ( i put diesel in my wash tank) fill new filter with diesel screw back on, pump up pressure, start vehicle and hold revs about 1500, last time i did mine it never missed a beat, time before it coughed and spluttered for a second or two and away it went, doddle. :clap

Thanks Tezzer,
now im through the ticket thats the next job. If i can get brave again ill give it a try. Dont like paying someone else if its possible to do it myself.
Cheers Wayne

Hello Mundy,

I did the last basic service on mine, and bought all of the filters, fluids from a local Motor Factors, just because it was nice to walk in, and walk out with everything that I needed. The following got changed / replaced...

oil filter
air filter
fuel filter
engine oil
power steering belt
alternator belt

I'm taking the Mav to France later this year, it'll get all of the above just before I go, but also...

front diff oil
transfere box oil
main gear box oil
rear axle oil
grease props
+ a full check.

Hope this helps Bud, watch and learn, and save a few quid next time !

Lee. :thumbs
