sea fishing

Hi Dino

Do a little sea fishing myself. But sorry do not know the wilts area.

Decathlon do a reasonable sea reel for about a tenner ( no line)

And Beach rods (10 0r 12 ft) rods such as Shakespear Fladen or Mitchell are cheap to buy. My favourite is my old Shakespear collapsible. already loaded with rig and weight.

In sea Angler they advertise Weymouth Angling Centre http://www.weymouthangling.com/

They are very reasonable and do mail order if you do not want to buy there at the time.
A selection of rigs already made are as cheap as making them yourself
and weights.

Last time in Weymouth you could not use mackeral feathers from the pier but "normal" rigs are ok and there are toilets and a cafe. Please note last visit about 2 yrs ago.

Hope helps paulp

Ps DO NOT FORGET rod rest, chair, old towels for rags to unhook, hand wash gel and kettle.

i have fished chisel beach along time ago, but you MUST be very careful as it's a stone beach and if you go near the water you could have trouble getting back up, something to do with the water under the stones and as you try to walk up beach the roll away, i was told this by a local angler, and he never went near water while we were fishing. :thumbs
