About 3 weeks ago the front pipe went on the old Terrano whilst wife was out, unfortunately I could not be contacted so she took it in to Kwik Fit:doh

Anyway they took ages to fit it and when she got in to drive home it had no power, so she hadnt got out of the car park so went back. Turned out they'd disconnected the maf to remove the air box?

Anyway since the exhaust has been changed you can hear the turbo spinning up quite loud, this wasnt happening before. I've had a look around and cant see loose oil pipes, loose air inlet pipe and joints in the exhaust seem ok.

Has anyone got any ideas please. Might just be a cheap poxy exhaust.

I'm sure Rustic had just the same problem with a kwik fit exhaust & got them to change it & the noise went:augie

Yep this have been covered. Must be a dodgy batch at shit fit :nenau

Bosal is the make rustic struggled with, check the pipe and see whats on it :thumb2

The exhaust system relies on back pressure, the front downpipe has a flexi joint to relieve some of the movement that is caused when going along to relieve stress on the manifold and brackets etc

A poor flexi joint will make the Turbo very audible and will also manifest itself by causing running problems through the spooling rev range.

I brought a brand new one from the local motor factors that hadn't been welded up right in the factory but luckily I clocked it before I fitted it
