I managed to get a scooby bonnet scoop for a tenner so got home early and did this :sly

Compare and contrast

That should get some more air in :D

It's bonded in and temporarily bolted in till the goo goes off. I'll get it feathered in later in the week then some more matt black
I'm trying to find a bigger intercooler too :augie I'm sure ebay will come up with the goods soon enough :naughty

um its the wrong colour!!

take it back

no honest looks good!

How did you cut the curves?
Once I'd cut the hole and removed some of the bonnet sub frame then things can move a bit. Then really push hard on the plastic scoop and dry fit with self drill screws. Tiger sealed and screwed down so it pulls the metal to the scoop and vice versa :D
When it's all cured I'll be able to correct the slight bumps in it at the mo:rolleyes:

I meant the half circles in the hole you cut.

Also did you wire your spotlights in series? or parallel?

Use a nearly worn out cutting disc:thumbs The last 20mm is the business for quick cut curves:) If they're tricky ones then use a jigsaw:thumbs
Lights are in parallel then a big fat cable . Next time I get any money of worth I'll get some LED ones as the 48 amps or so make things pretty warm :lol

err lights in series, how would that work?

spots would be as dim as marker lights....

unless of course was using 3V not 12V bulbs.;}

on scoop wouldnt just removing the old scoop, looking at size of whole left
have made more flow then a bigger box brought more air in?

the new one doesnt look that much wider and certainly not taller to make
much more flow.

Ah, checkout my photobucket link for ALL the photos. then you'll see that the scooby scoop is much bigger . It's about 200mm wider and probably twice as high as the old voting slot I took off:sly
See here

Massively bigger air intake :thumbs
TD5 intercooler on the way now :sly

the standard slot isn't that big, it's very misleading.

Something to do with perspex or perspecterive or pyrex :lol
Any way it IS defo biggerer :naughty

I scrapped a big intercooler not long ago, I wished I'd kept it now you could have had it :doh
