This is taken from the Just Giving page that was set up to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease Association:

"On Friday, 17 October 2014 Cedwyn Smallwood took his final bow.

For the past 18 months he has suffered from Motor Neurones Disease, a rare condition where parts of the nervous system become damaged, causing progressive weakness and muscle wasting.

Now he no longer suffers and we can only be grateful for that."

Sad news.

For those new to the club, he left a very detailed account of his relatives adventures in Alaska at the turn of the century I recommend all to read it, a tribute to a great guy, Rick

It looks a fantastic read - I will spend the time it obviously deserves later.
I always fancied racing the dogs across Alaska - the Iditarod or the Yukon Quest!

Best wishes to him, and his; he sounds an amazing character!

god bless mate ..... R.I.P. :rose

Pete, "my journey to Alaska" post 478 the link does not work , any ideas, for the new faces on here to download the story, or have I got it wrong, Rick
