apart from plating / undersealing and filling with waxoyl any other things I should look for ??
Ouch that's a bad case of the old tin worm. Mine are bubbling quite badly at the back of the sills. Yours looks to be the front of the sills? My rear seat belt mountings also needed plating in the rear wheel arch for it's last MOT.

Yes I'm going to check mine but not until the better weather comes and probably get them plated. As far as I'm aware there are no repair panels and other than buying new sills from Nissan at some stupid price the only fix is to cut and plate. Other than getting them plated I don't think it's too much to worry about just check your rear belt mountings as they will probably be about ready for plating too. Loads of club members have had to have these repaired so we are not alone.

Have a look in HERE
Theres various pics from my old mav of where it was rusty and also some of the repairs.
Seat belt mounts as mentioned - shown plated.
Boot floor area too.
Scroll down for the holes in the cill after I'd had a go at it with a twist know brush in the grinder.
I had the back piece of sill cut and replaced for the MOT I then filled it with waxol. I also filled the other side. I did notice that there are a row of removable grommets all along the top of the sills (you can feel them if you slide your fingers along the inside) these could be removed and waxol sprayed inside, although i think that a very warm day would be best.

you could also measure the lenth of cill and ask a metal fabricater to roll you a lenth of steel plate, then you can cut to lenth and form the edges, weld in place and then make the end plates. then paint or underseal. :thumb2
