running issue

Ok, im sure this has been asked a few times but i cant find a definite answer.

when driving the truck ive got a shudder between 1500 - 2000rpm in every gear almost like a misfire. if i take my foot off the accelerator it stops doing it and when i floor it it stops. Also when i take my foot off the accelerator to slow down the management light comes on for about 2 seconds and goes off again, during this 2 seconds the engine is non responsive with no acceleration and feels like ive pulled the key out the ignition.

My 1998 Terrano tdi is serviced regular including fuel filters and the only obvious thing i have noticed is the injectors look a bit wet, could this be the fault or am i missing something

MAF.

Or leaking I/C or the two pipes that attach it to the Inlet manifold and the Turbo, or one of the other pipes between the MAF and turbo are split or not done up properly.

You need to read the code that will be stored when the engine warning light came on.

When I forgot to do up the jubilee clip that fixed the big air pipe to the MAF housing, I got the MIL flash up and no power, it reported MAF problems, but luckily it was just a bad mechanic, and easily fixed....:nenau:doh

Have the same problems. But i also got some serious jerking when flooring the pedal between 2500 - 3000 rpm.

Switch on the accelerator, get some switch cleaner in it.
