Running gear problem

this has been bugging me for a few weeks now. when I change gear and release the clutch there is a slight knock noise. If I change smooth as I can just about hear it.

I can make it clonk alot worse by tapping the gas pedal on and off in a low gear at low speeds. Seems like it's taking up slack from somewhere.

prop shaft is fine, no play than usual.

Thinking possible rubber mounts.

Any ideas?

Not the gear stick coming loose is it.?
If it is you can do it from above inside.!
Or check all your bell housing bolts are tight & starter...

Mine does that, sounds like its coming from underneath at the rear?

yes it does sound like it's comming from the rear. But it's hard to know 100%.

I will check all thats been advised.

Nothing worse than noisy bush.

definitely, a good polish stops all the squeaking.

mind you, sometimes it causes it too....:augie
