Running after 2 Years but...

Hi i recently put an engine in my brothers 2.4i N REG maverick it had been sitting for 2 years with no engine in place and a huge pile of bolts and mangled wires.

After a weekend of swearing and cut hands its in and running!
But the idle is way high im just wondering if anyone could please tell me or have a diagram for the vacuum lines as i just connected them where i thought they probly went. And i have a feeling some are wrong!

Other than that all seems fine apart from the clutch will not return when deppressed so im guessing one of the cylinders is seized partially as it had all sat out side for the whole period just glad it started. and even more so when i can sort out these vacc lines!!

they are usually color coded . however what fuel pump is it running on . bosch or ?

Hi thanks for the info so far i think i may have got it almost right.
I have no idea what fuel pump as i just took the project on an all i had to go with was a box of rusty bolts a second hand bare engine and a dead old engine with some parts removed.

Iv'e just come back in an after taking the air box off the throttle body again i noticed a small screw above where the throttle cable secures.
I have found one that fits and on screwing this down wards it brought the idle down so thats that prob sorted!!!

Engine seems almost there if you blip the throttle it has a slight miss but only form low revs when its past 2thou it seems fine!!
Glad when this is finished lol!

Have you a shot withe throttle body airbox off?
There are to valves one which has a pipe comeing from the exhaust.
I have no idea where they are supposed to go.
The manual i looked in form the link doesnt give a vaccume digram fr the petrol, tyipical!!:lol
