Any ideas for the above? my mini filter was cleaned about 6k ago? my tickover has always been rubbish so the other day i set about adjusting it, i did, great on pick up when cold, but when warm no different, under investigation i found that when warm the adjuster did not hit the stop but it did when the engine was stone cold, is there a bi metal strip or something that could alter this ajustment between hot and cold? for reference the adjuster before my original ajustment, did not touch the stop when cold, and now since ive adjusted it is fine when cold but cuts out due to under reving when hot. also getting about 20mpg or less so something is not quite right?

poor fuel consiumption could even be down to your hubs, i noticed an improvement of about 6mpg after fitting manulas!
will have a look at this Jeremy, but still concerned as to why my adjuster is ajusted ok cold and the setting changes when warm, unless its to do with alink to the egr valve that i have not spotted?? or it could be multi problems of course, heater plugs / egr/ fuel pump settings????? i am sure someone out there will have some insite or have had similar probs// thanks for the response also i will need to look at my hubs as plank suggested springs comming.(i hope) :lol:

I think your right big-jim when the weather gives you a break, it might be an idea to give her the once over, grease break sliders clean and re lube hubs and all that stuff if only to rule them out as potential issues.
i give her the once over every year, however someone has sugested that there may be a thermal switch from the water system? but i cannot recall any small pipes attaching themself to the fuel pump from the cooling system? must look when i have time if there is it may explain why the hot and cold adjustments varey during running, i only notice the tickover proplem when i take it to work (10 mile run), but when the wife uses it for the dreaded school run it does not manifest but the car does not warm though 1/2 a mile each way??
