Does anyone know what the hell those rubber grommet things are called that you use to 'calm' door, bonnet and bootlid shuts? Rubber stopper things with a kind of thread on them so you can screw them in and out to get them in exactly the right position?

I need to find some for my skankwagon....a Nissan Micra Turbonutterba$tard...

Thanks Ray, but everything except the one I'm looking for....the 'thread' is actually cut into the rubber - just the same as the ones that the Terrano uses but they're about half the size.....

Sorry, dont know where you might get those, or what there called! I only remembered the antvibration folks because I used em for some boat bits..

Rimmer Bros stock them , they call them buffers.

Thought that was someone in the adult film industry ;O)

I replaced my bonnet ones with some from a ford escort, they just needed a little trim before fitting :thumb2

So it's a 1L 16V Turbo Micra, sounds like a giggle in a car that weighs less than a tonne. :D

actually when you wind it up, it flies the little bugger.....as much character IMHO as the old Beetle LOL!

Have you seen the goodies you can get for Micra's?

http://rallynuts.com/motorsport/Nissan_Micra_K11_2076/

They cater for the K10 & K12 as well :)

Been looking....people might take the pi$$ but they cost pennies to run and maintain and you're right, can be highly tuned if you want to.

I used to run my FiLs old S-plate Micra up and down to Barrow in Furness when I was renovating a house up there....600-mile round trip every weekend for over a year and it cost nothing except fuel at 45-50mpg, plus it would just get up to 100 on the motorway allegedly (!)...but its so light and responsive when the revs are up you could run rings round a lot of other cars that should have known better!

Paid 500 for this one - R-plate with 80k miles - for my daughter to use but she's decided shes walking for now, so I am forced to use it as a runabout LOL. I think they are great little q-cars!

On the couple of Auto solo's I've done in my little Rover there's always been a good number of Micra's, Some are rally prepared too & do the Auto tests & as a side line. They do seem to be a popular choice, If I didn't have the 100R I think I'd like to build one up for a go at Hill climbing (if I could ever the weekends off work that is!). :D
