I might be being stupid here but surely you stick your roof box on first, then see what space is left for lights.....but then you either have to lift the box over them to get it on/off, or slide it on from the back? Not a great combo IMHO unless you had, say, those small rectangular lights hanging from the front roofbar.

But then theres the illuminated roofbox option....oh god what am I saying.....:doh

i think putting spacers between the box and bars would not be a good idea unless you want to watch your unwashed smalls fluttering along the M4 behind you - at least unless its VERY solidly fixed...

You could actually use the roof box as a kind of battery holder and mounting system so you only need one wire from the split charger going to it.

A few strobes inside it with carefully cut perspex tinted windows in the shape of your favourite pets down the sides and across the top with an led rope in alternating colours wrapped tastefully around the edge. It would look........errr...

Think of it as a safety beacon when youre out in the dales or on the moors in the dark. Potential life saver :thumb2.

Babe magnet (?) may also spring to mind

As Hilda Ogden used to say, go for it the worlds your lobster :augie

LMFAO!!!

I've got an even better idea....drill a hole in the roof above the drivers side, remove the steering wheel, weld a length of scaffolding pole to the column, run it through to the roof box and refit the steering column to the top of it. Then cut a 3'x2' hole in the top of the roofbox, place a scatter cushion in the bottom and hey presto, you can drive from the roofbox so that none of that valuable space inside the car is wasted.
Admittedly it needs a bit more thought about gear change etc (another scaff pole?) but I'm sure you'll work it out Zippy... :naughty

I hope Extreme doesn't read this though...
