CheersLooks good.
Welcome to the club.
I'd be looking to run a bar across them like you can see in this photo. Not impressed with the fixing of these RTT's, I'm not convinced these are satisfactory, there are 4 fixings but couldn't be ar$ed to take a pic of the other one

Thanks, it's not bad for a second hand tent and wasn't that expensive considering the cost of a new oneAww like a little cottage, just needs roses round the door [emoji38]
I think Simon is right, looks like it needs a little strengthening bar or something. Looks great though.
You was looking at the Ali rack, mine was the full basket steel rack but I cut it down.Look awesome [emoji1547] I wanted one of these but decided to go inside the 4x4 the misses thinks I have tent issues already I already have 4 [emoji848]
Oh and I had a look at that website £999 for a roof rack [emoji58] have they lost there marbles lol looks like I’m going to be doing more welding. Just need some good pictures of how they mount to the terrano as I’m not quite sure [emoji3166]
Yea it looks good that one but the wife has said no to buying one but didn’t say I couldn’t make one so I might be in with a chance.

Pop top is the way to go. They make so much sense and use space well. I'm not sure that the Terrano is the right vehicle as it's a bit narrow. Rtts are bloody awesome though, love mine.i have been looking at fitting a pop top roof to the lwb terrano but probably works out dearer than a decent roof tent unless you can pick up a decent used one that will fit.

I'm a bit lost there, Davey Boy, unless you're talking about the clam style RTT. Noise on the hard top would be my only concern, but the Alu Cab style pop tops have similar sleeping arrangements as our RTTs, access to the insides of the truck and stand up room in the rear.A friend of mine had one on his LR Disco when we toured Ireland, and complained about the noise of the rain on the hard shell, claustrophobia with the thermal curtains fitted and having to climb over the other person for the call of nature during the night.
Otherwise he loved his £2100 James Baroud. :thumb2
Love mine.
No access for lions, bears or snakes and you can sleep on a double mattress.
Perfect! :thumb2
