Pic of my awning.
Old tarp a ratchet strap a few glass tent poles and an industrial mat, and a couple of bungys
There is another glass pole out of sight, holding up the centre running front to back near the crab on the bungy, another couple either side would stop a bit of the sag

Ratchet strap sewn to side of tarp and hooks in wheel spokes

Pretty crude but does the job, as I am only 5'8 plenty of head room

Cheers kitchenman as that is a bit like the idea I have in my head on how i'm thinking of doing mine to make up a dry kitchen area when we go camping with our small tent as it's to small to cook in

I also have a gazebo, I can just about drive into it, the roof bars miss the frame by a nats, I think it cost around £20 or less from Tesco.
Next time there is no draft I will rig it and take pics

im not thinking of setting up camp.and don't want to be faffing about much.

but you know how it is when you fancy a stop and a brew. its a bit drizzly or inclement.

ive got the ideas.just got to see me man about getting it started.
but at the mo its third on my list of prioritys

how about one that fastens to the inside of the door and pulls out as you open the door.
no faffing about and instant shelter.
don't ask me how it would be held in place, just thinking out loud:lol

that's a belting idea

And while im at it im going to make some wooden templates for some rock sliders.
they will clamp to the chassis like mels do. so to fit you will have to have a body lift.
I will also work out a price for these for anyone interested.

Yes please :thumb2
