I got 2... yes TWO... light bars from my good lady for Christmas.... They light up both Yellow and/or White. They are going on the back of the car as work lights and Beacons, to replace the large round ones currently up there that make the car too high to go into car parks.

Are you sure that switch can handle the current, it is only rated at 16 Amps so over the limit! 12V x 20A = 240W or look at it the other way 240W/12V = 20A:eek::doh

Saying that I just checked the one I bought, it says 20A on the back but the listing was/is 16A

I always use a relay for anything heavy current anyway, as it saves running heavy current too far round the car. The longer the cable, the greater the volt drop, and even the cheapest of relays is normally 30amp, although I like the 40amp that have a fuse built it.

I like the little rocker switch down by the headlamp height adjuster. Have to admit I'm not keen on the other type but not my car so it's perfectly ok:thumb2

well my new lightbar got delivered

Cool, that didn't take long to arrive from Londan:lol

Where are you mounting the switch?

not sure where i'm putting the switch yet :nenau
If the switch will fit you could use one of the switch blanks on the dash to the left of the speedo (in front of the indicator stalk) i've got an old MK1 T2 fog light switch there ready for when I fit roof lights
:augie
