Looking for a set of cross rails to fit Terrano OEM roof rails but so far nowt.
Seen plenty of universal, Halfords or Thule roof bars that stick out further past the roof rails but looking for a neater finish.
I've seen Freelander 2 cross bars for sale and gap between rails is 20mm on the Freelander. The profile of the fixing to roof rails look very similar to the Terranos roof rails too.
I'm thinking buy a second hand set and hopefully be able to dissamble them to shorten bar itself.
Any similar experiences / thoughts?

Nissan like most manufacturers used Thule for their roof bars. Is it possible to buy a set of thules and cut them down?

I brought a set of OEM Ford ones that were an optional extra for the Maverick from new

They lock as well, I brought them from RichtheRacer from Coventry when I first joined

Yeah but that's the difference, mine look sexy ;)

I have Thule bars, which I bought for my 940 Volvo, then they fitted my 850 Volvo, then my 2001 T2 and now my 05 T2.
They lock too and have had plenty of use :thumb2

You can find them next to the Alex bumper section just behind the fruit and veg:lol:lol

Sorry mate couldn't resist.:thumb2

Sorted, Thule Wingbar Edge cross rails, sit nice, low and flush with Nissan Thule OEM roof rails.

Almost done with the little mods and way wanting her, roof cross bars, the small A bar with small spots, chunky tyres (without going too crazy = daily road user), and replaced the swan neck towbar with a proper flange towbar, ball and pin towball too ( for the small trailers around the farm), Tom tom wired to battery.

Getting a bit dark now but will get pics up soon.

Only joking mate your happy and that's what counts.
Feel free to rip the p155 out of me if you feel the need I can take it:lol

Damn left this a bit late, just spotted it :lol

I love the old safari style cages on top like off the mk1 pajero ect :sly

They look seriously cool m8......very sexy.......in a manly roof racky sort of way....:augie

I bought some inexpensive fleabay ones, and bolted on the tie down loops from my old VW transporter, got a decent overhang and makes a great ladder rack....:thumb2

Cheers, didn't need anything too heavy duty which is why I went more for the looks dept., just odd trip to grandparents house with ladder for window cleaning duties, snowboard at winter time and the odd bit of wood for diy.
Originally thought bike rack too, but now that I have flange towbar fitted, will get a witter or similar towbar mounted carrier for bike.
