Hi from Italy guys :D, I'm on holiday at the moment

Just want to see what kind of setups you guys have got in terms of style of bar, how its mounted, type of lights, type of brackets, wiring etc etc, have you guys made your own or brought pre made up kits? And also how have you sourced power and what kind of switch have you used.

From past experience I've found that drawing power from other light sources has always ended badly!!! I was thinking wire straight to the battery with a dedicated switch in the dash and an inline fuse straight to the battery?

I was looking at something like this;

Any pics of yours would be fantastic :)

Thanks

Mine, Wired up to a relay with a on/off/on switch.

First on is on with main beam, Then off is off all the time. Then the 2nd on is for on all the time.

Awesome, I like that a lot, but would prefer round spots with mine
Where did you get the bar from and where did you source the lights?

bar is just un-equal aluminium L plate/bar. Lights were from ebay. You could stick round lights on them. I think round ones on the roof look ugly and are too much in your face.

Also make the vehicle taller which may effect it on narrow or low branched lanes.

They're quite nice looking. I wonder if the double sided sticky would be up to the job though?

How would you route the wiring. Externally, or through the roof?

pod lights

well i am going to buy them soon and i was going to put them just front of sunroof and as wires look small put them through a small gromet on the roof and seal with sealent i think the lights actually cover the wires by this method and the 3m body moulding tape if put on correctly will hold them fine but i will have pod painted first

pod lights

i will fit mine through the roof and then have pod fitted over hole

I think the sticky tape will hold, just make sure the roof is very clean!

A thought! if the pod covers the aerial could you use that hole to route the wires and then add an aerial to the top of the pod :nenau

assuming your aerial is like mine in the middle of the roof above the windscreen :thumb2
