Just wondering, I have a 2002 Terrano which has the 16" alloys and 235/70x16 tyres as standard. When they went to 17" wheels on later models did they keep the same profile ie go to a 235/70x17 or keep the rolling radius the same by say doing a 235/60x17 ???? hope that makes sense :?

The reason I'm asking is that my digital milometer/clock assy has gone inot clssic flickering mode and I've got hold of a one off a 2004 model. I'd rather just drop the whole speedo assembly in rathe than slit it and change the milometer/clock module but now (after buying it  ) I'm wondering if the speedo will be accurate.

Anyone else done similar??????

i would imagine the profile would have reduced to either 60 or 65,
on basis it dropped from 75 to 70 when rim increased from 15 to 16
inch. pretty sure was 235 still when looked at a newish truck.

recent link to a tyre height comparison would give a clue as to which
profile is must likely to retain over all height/rolling circumrance.

I'm sure Nissan will have altered the tyre size & not the speedo's as it's cheaper for them  even if they did'nt with 17" rims fitted would prob help correct the speedo anyway as they are nearly all 10% out

Found the answer via google  the last ones run on 235/65R17 so the speedos should be the same

Not a prob clad to help  TBH I was surprized it came up after typing in "Terrano tyre size"

While on the subject of speedo accuracy, any suggestions regarding my 1995 Mistral 2.7TD (Japanese import) ? While my speedo shows 70mph , my satnav says I'm only doing 60mph. The odometer registers in kilometres . Apparently the clock was changed when she was imported, but is WAY out of calibration.

Thanks, Matt.
